Any assistance that you can provide will be deeply appreciated by those who are in need of food, education, health care or support for community programs. There are several ways that you can help IIN provide support and services to indigenous peoples and groups:
Monetary Donations
To donate, please write a cheque to Indigenous Information Network, and send it to the address found on the Contact page . Kindly specify if you would like to support a particular project or group; otherwise your donation will be used wherever it is most needed. Upon request, we will send you a report detailing where and how your donation was used.
Supplies
IIN supports a number of women’s groups, children’s aid organizations and educational programs. These groups are always in need of school supplies such as textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, chalk and chalkboards, as well as clothing. Construction supplies are also needed to build classrooms and community meeting halls. If you would like to donate supplies, please contact IIN to discuss needs and delivery methods.
Volunteering
IIN needs volunteers to help conduct trainings, write articles for Nomadic News, write proposals, update the website and do community work. Volunteers should have some interest in indigenous issues, human rights, women’s rights, cultural preservation, environmental conservation, health, community development, land rights and/or education. If you are willing to spend some time and effort addressing these causes, or if you have a project that you would like to develop for the benefit of indigenous or minority peoples, please contact us.
Partnerships
IIN is always interested in forming new friendships and collaborating with those working for similar causes. Our organization is only able to reach so many because of the cooperation of many other groups and organizations; it is through working with others that we have been able to accomplish all that we have. Please contact IIN if you would like to form a partnership or be informed of our current activities.
